Connecting your Roomba will entail the following:
- Adding your phone's MAC address to the Lionstripe Dashboard
- Connecting your phone to the General network
- Finding your Roomba's MAC address
- Adding your Roomba's MAC address to the Lionstripe Dashboard
- Rebooting your Roomba
- Connecting your Roomba to the General network
- Connecting your phone back onto the Residents network
Part 1: Adding your phone's MAC address to the Lionstripe Dashboard
Step 1: Find your phone's MAC address. This guide explains how to find your device’s MAC address in detail.
Step 2: Log into the Lionstripe Dashboard using your username and password.
Step 3: Go to the My Devices tab.
Step 4: Click on Add new Device.
Step 5: Enter the device’s MAC address and give the device a name.
- Include only the letters/numbers, do not type in the colons.
- For example, if the mac address is EC:12:A3:ED:6B please enter EC12A3ED6B (not case sensitive )

Step 6: Click Submit. You will see a notification that your device has been successfully added.
Part 2: Connecting your phone to the General network
iPhone/iOS devices
Step 1: On the your device, tap on the Settings icon > Wi-Fi > Find the [PROPERTY]-General network. Do not use the Residents network for this step.
Step 2: Tap the "Info" icon
Tip: If you are prompted to enter as password you did not click on the information icon. Just tap cancel and try again.
Step 3: Turn off Private Wi-Fi Address by toggling the radio button.
Step 4: Tap on Join This Network, and enter your password.
Android devices
Step 1: On Android device go to Settings > Wi-Fi > Find the Residents network. You should see the name of your building, followed by a dash and the word Residents like this: [PROPERTY]-General.
Step 2: Enter your password and connect.
Part 3: Finding your Roomba's MAC address
Before your start, make sure you are within 12 inches (30 cm) of your Roomba, with your phone's Bluetooth turned on. If your phone is having trouble connecting to the Roomba via Bluetooth, follow this guide.
Step 1: First, you will need to download the iRobot app (for Android or iOS devices)
Step 2: Follow the steps in the app until you get to this screen. Tap on Advanced network settings.
Step 3: Enable MAC Address Filtering and tap on Save.
Step 4: Enter your password for the [Property]-General network and tap on Done.
Step 5: Continue to follow the steps on the app until you see this screen. Write down the MAC address.
Step 6: Tap on OK and then cancel the setup by tapping on the X at the top right of the screen.
Step 7: Select OK when prompted.
Step 8: Close the iRobot app completely.
Part 4: Adding your Roomba's MAC address to the Lionstripe Dashboard
Now that you have the Roomba's MAC address, we will add it to your private home network using the Lionstripe Dashboard.
Step 1: Log into the Lionstripe Dashboard using your username and password.
Step 3: Go to the My Devices tab.
Step 4: Click on Add new Device.
Step 5: Enter the device’s MAC address and give the device a name.
- Include only the letters/numbers, do not type in the colons.
- For example, if the mac address is EC:12:A3:ED:6B please enter EC12A3ED6B (not case sensitive )
Step 6: Click Submit. You will see a notification that your device has been successfully added.
Make a note of this password, as you will need it when adding the Roomba to your home network.
Part 5: Rebooting your Roomba
Step 1: Reboot your Roomba by pressing and holding the cleaning button on top of the robot for 20 seconds.
Step 2: Power on your Roomba but pressing the power button once.
Part 6: Connecting your Roomba to the General network
Step 1: Make sure your phone is connected to the [PROPERTY]-General network and not to the Roomba's temporary Wi-Fi network or the [PROPERTY]-Residents network.
Step 2: Restart the iRobot app and follow the in-app instructions to connect the robot to the [PROPERTY]-General network using the Roomba's password from the Lionstripe Dashboard.
Part 7: Connecting your phone back onto the Residents network
Once you've finished the setup of your Roomba, make sure you forget the [PROPERTY]-General network, and connect your phone back to the [PROPERTY]-Residents network.
