Here's how to add a new user/device to a network:
1. Log into the Lionstripe Dashboard
2. On the lefthand panel, hover over the second icon to expand the Network AccessControl options. Then click on All Mappings.
3. In the header of the table find click on theicon.
4. Under User name:
- For a user that will be issued a username and password, type in their email address.
- For a legacy device/printer/ security camera, type in the mac address.
5. Under Location: Select the property you are giving the user access to
- Select Wireless to provide wireless access (most common for your users)
- Select Wired to provide wired only plug-in access (like security cameras and printers).
To provide a user with both wired and wireless access, after you create the wireless account, you can go into the user profile, and give them wired access. Click here for instructions.
7. Under package, you'll be able to assign the appropriate user access. All users with email and password or mac address will be tired to a Private, Guest, Resource, internal and staff package.
- To add a user/device to a Private Package (users/devices that want to be on their own company network)
- Users being issued a username and password credential, select Email - Private Package name
- Users/devices accessing the network via a mac address, select MAC- Private Package Name
- To add a user/device to the Guest Package (short term users who want to log in using credentials):

- Users/devices accessing the network via a mac address, select MAC - Guest

- Users/devices accessing the network via a mac address, select MAC - Staff
8. Click Add. Now you will be dropped into the mapping page.
Tip: If you entered a user via email address, it is a good idea to add a quick note to identify the user. Sometimes team members use their personal account to get on the WiFi even though they belong to a company private network.
If you entered a mac address, please add a note to identify the type of device the mac address belongs to. Example: Security camera on the 3rd floor by the elevator.
9. Once you add a user, the next step is sending them their password.
How to send users their password (or get the MAC password)
Please check out this article on How to send users their passwords. From the mapping page, you can click on the gear icon next to Supplicant. This will take you to the user profile (instead of having to search for the user you just created in the search bar).
